Synopsis: l thank god l was not hurt worse. growing up as an African-American girl in Kentucky during the 1970's and 80's 

presented more than it is share of social challenges- racial issues, getting educated in a small-town setting, and living in a loving family that struggled to make ends meet. from the moment l was born, my father already having left the house, my ordinary life has been full of extraordinary situations-  all of which created a sense of life and compassion in me that prompted others to seek my advice, or help, or place as a peacemaker. that is, when l was not fighting to protect myself added to that were my two families that could not be more different: my loving mother and stepfather in a town of 400 in Kentucky, and a father who loved me, plus his wife who despised me, in danville,IL. it all led to a different growing-up time, supported by my extended family in Kentucky. the backdrop was late 1970's and 80's, when l went through school during a time when society was struggling to open up racially, and when everything from music to aids changed our views of the world. l lived it all, l watched a friend die of aids, and l came out of it with an understanding of life that serves me well in my profession. my life as traci captures the arc of my young life it is simply written to bring readers into both the spirit of the time and to invite them into my life, but it pries open the hidden corners, which seemed to constantly surround me always hopeful, but never shy about detailing traumatic moments, the book brings out the way my inner world develop, first through faith in my parents, then in the faith of my friendships, and finally in the faith of my spiritual beliefs.

   

Review: first of all l would like to say a big thank you to traci Inez rapier for sending me this book and giving me the chance to read it. l was sent this book in exchange for a honest review. l am glad this book is on my bookshelf. l would tell people that should step outside your comfort zone with books because it is good to add more authors and genres to your reading portfolio even if you do not read books like this. l normally do not read books like this genre but l stepped outside my comfort zone with authors and genres l am so glad l did because l have read so many great books l was sent this book by bostick communications who l want to say thank you to as well. l really enjoyed reading about traci and her life. l was sad to read that chad died due to a car accident. l was sad to read that chad's brother peter turned to drug's to cope with his brother's death and chad's sister nay turned to sleeping around to deal with her brother's death. it was sad to read that peter was diagnosed with aids due to drug uses and he just wanted to see his brother again. peter and nay are twins. l was sad to read that traci had tried to take her life to be with chad, Traci's stepmother and sister sound jealous of traci l really like that traci did not let them stop her learning at school. l think traci sound's like a very kind lady. it is the worse thing to lose somebody close to them. when traci was leaving school in 1986 l was born that year. this is a great book and it was hard to put down l really could not put this book down once l started reading it. traci kindly signed my book l was sad to read that peter passed away. l would love to read more about traci and her life and l would love to read more from this author.

Review: This book was easy to get into and it was good to read how Edna overcome everything that happened to her and l think she is very brave and she loves her children even though one of their father's raped her but she just sees her beloved child.I was sent this book by bostick communications l really enjoyed this book and l did find some bits upsetting and l could not believe Edna's mother didn't want to take her to the hospital after her boyfriend raped her at the age of 5 he made Edna his little sex slave. I was upset that she was gang raped at 16 years old. Edna went though so much and she is still here to tell the tale and her story and l was sad to read that her grandmother died.it's good to read that she is getting a master's degree and that she is talking to her mum again. I want to say thank you to the author for sending me this book l would highly recommend this book to anybody and it's a must have on your bookshelf l am happy this book is in my library and I would tell people that you should step outside your comfort zone with books because it's good to add more authors and genres to your reading portfolio even if you don't read books like this and this book was sent to me for a honest review if l could rate this book more then five stars l would.

Review: Really good book and it was easy to get into and l highly recommended this book to anybody and I was sent this book for review and l would tell people that you should step outside your comfort zone with books because it's good to add more authors and genres to your reading portfolio even if you don't read books like this and it was a real enjoyable storyline. This book was sent to me for review. l want to thank the author for sending me this book to review for them and it is a long book at over 600 pages but l found it a good book and it was a great read and l found it hard to put it down once l started reading it and l entered it won this book but l did not win it but l got a message asking if l wanted to read it and got a copy for a honest review and l would read this book again and l would recommend this book to my friends and family and l am glad this book is in my library and it is a must have on your book shelf  

About the author: S. Vagus: Born in Jakarta, Indonesia; educated by the British, and whose formative years were spent being a lanky white kid in Asia. Possesses a weakness for dogs and fails spectacularly at small talk. This author is very nice

Review:  This book is really good and easy to get in to and l found it hard to put it down once l started reading it and l found it really enjoyable read and l was sent this book for review and l rated it on goodreads and amazon and the author is really nice and she’s friendly and l highly recommend it and l got this as a eBook and l read it on iBook’s and it is comes in 2 different formats.

About the author: Nuzo Cambridge onoh is a British writer of African heritage. Born in Enugu, in eastern part of Nigeria ( formerly known as Biafra) , she lived through the civil war between Biafra and Nigeria (1967 – 1970) , an experience that left a strong impact on her and continues to influence her writing to date. She attended queen’s school, Enugu, Nigeria, before proceeding to Quaker boarding school, The mount school, York, (England) and finally, st Andrew’s tutorial college, Cambridge, (England) from where she obtained her A ‘levels. Nuzo holds both a law degree and a master’s degree in writing from Warwick University, (England).

Review:  this is a good book very easy to get in to and hard to put down once you picked it up and l got this book sent to me for a review and if l could l would rate it 10 stars but l rated it 5 stars and it’s a great read and l love ghost and supernatural stories and films and tv series and this book comes under all the rolled into one book and l love all the short stories and l love reading any genre but this book is out of my normal genre but glad l read this book and l would happily read again and l would highly recommend this book and people who do not normally read this type of book should give this book a go cause it is really good and it is a awesome book anybody would love this book  and this book come in paperback and kindle edition

Review:  this book was a really good enjoyable read l love reading it and l would highly recommend it and l easily got into this book l could not put it down and so glad Nell’s daughter laurel is found safe and can’t believe her ex husband kidnapped his own daughter for money and his wife sounds crazy and she sounds like a is just after one thing money and can’t believe Stacey went to attack laurel and it was funny to read that Nell chased Stacey with a cricket bat cause she went for laurel and a mother would do anything to protected their children and Nell trapped Stacey foot in the door and Stacey did not go away and she kept scream and shouting though the letter box and then she reported Nell to the police. Patrick also faked his own death and he made it look like his fake death was from Nell book and she knew he wasn’t died and he was hiding somewhere.
