Author: Richard Denham and M.J Trow.
Title: World Of Britannia.
Genre: History, Britain & Ireland, Early British & Roman Britain, World History, Europe, Pre – 500,

First of all l would like to say a big thank you to Richard Denham and M.J Trow for sending me this book and giving me a chance to read it. I would like to say a big thank you to T. Squared books for letting me be apart of their book reviewing team.

I would tell people that you should step outside your comfort zone with books because it is good to add more authors and genres to your reading portfolio even if you do not read books like this.

I normally do not read books of this genre but l stepped outside my comfort zone with authors and genres l am so glad l did because l have read so many great books and come across some great authors.

This book has 210 pages in it.

I highly recommend this book.

Synopsis: World of Britannia forms the historical background to the 'Britannia' trilogy the arrival of Rome's legions, first under Julius Caesar, then aulius plautius in the first century is well documented, but the end of roman rule in Britain remains forever in shadow, ' illuminated' only by contradiction and legend. The action of the Britannia series spans the period 367 – 425 AD, the beginning of what historians, with some justification, used to call the dark ages. It was the twilight of a civilisation that had lasted for nearly five hundred years and Britain would never be the same again. This book documents the little we know, from written records and from archarology and gives a snapshot of a world that was on the brink of vanishing. This book is an invaluable accompaniment to the series, providing insights that are not possible in his historical fiction as a standalone history book, it provides a fast-paced, easily-understood account of one of the least known eras in British history, ' but we must not forget and we must not let our children forget or our children's children! ' forget what? She frowned. ' that there was a wall and there were heroes of the wall. and there was once a Britannia.

Review: I found this book really easy to get in to and hard to put down once l started reading it. It did not take me long to finish this book. I normally do not read about history but after reading this book l really enjoyed reading about history. I really enjoyed reading this book and about Britannia and Romans. I really liked the pictures in this book. I was hooked on this book after reading the first few pages. I can not put in to words how great this book is I would tell people to read this book for themselves to know how great this book really is. It was nice to read about the different gods and names. They was called. I reviewed this book on goodreads, amazon UK and US and my blog and I also took a picture of this book and shared it to my Instagram that l made for pictures of my books it is called donnareviewsbooks. When l was reading this book I would put some essential oils in my humidifier and put the lights on and chill on my bed and listen to magic or spotify or something on TV or netflix. I also put my christmas lights on that are on my christmas tree it is so relaxing. I like reading about all the treasures that are being unearthed and that there are graves being found all over. This book is great and l would happily read it again and again. I am sad to finish reading this book l would love to read more from these authors and more about history. I wish this book did not finish because it was a great read and it was exciting book to read and sometimes l would light a candle when l was reading this book. I got this book in paperback but it is available in other editions I have another book fro M.J Trow l am super excited to read it. I loved reading this book. I wish there was a follow on from this book. It is really nice just to relax with a good book as specially when you are in pain with arthritis or feeling ill. I been reviewing books for over two years and I have read so many great books.

About The Authors: M.J Trow (the 'M' as most people know stands for Meirion, a welsh name few can manage, so he writes as M.J, is known by all and sundry as Mei, rhyming with 'My') has been writing for many years, with his first book – the adventures of inspector Lestrade – being published in 1984 by Macmillan. More Lestrades followed and then some true crime and somehow it all snowballed so now he has many historical biographies and three other crime series (Maxwell, Marlowe and Grand and Batchelor, the latter two written with his wife, writing as Maryanne Coleman, though her name is Carol, actually!) to his credit. He claims to be retired, but that is just from teaching. In fact he has never been busier and is sought after 'ghost' these days as well as historian and novelist, with many different subjects' stories having been told through him. He has recently started collaborating on fiction projects ( with someone other than his wife, that is) and finds it a really exciting and pleasurable experience. To relax he... actually, that's a bit tricky, as he does not really ever relax. He has been know to garden, he is a keen cook and artist and likes to travel. This is rather easier these days as he is a popular speaker on cruise ships – in fact his profile picture was taken on a very gusty day in cape town, setting off on a long voyage home to Southampton through some of the scariest seas he and his wife have had the pleasure to meet! It really was the calm before the storm, despite being a force 9 just leaving the bay. Family is important and he is very proud of his wife, Carol ( aka Maryanne Coleman) for her own books and also the ones they write together, the Kit Marlowe series. His son, Taliesin, know as Tali, is a writer who has written a biography of the tudor explorer Martin Frobisher as well as collaborating with Mei on several biographies. An exciting series is in the melting pot at the moment and will hopefully be appearing soon; remember where you heard it first. Tali is also a musician, playing various instruments with some acclaimed bands; Gemma Hayes, the coal porters, circulus and currently acid-folk ensemble the lords of thyme. He also records and tour-manages. His crystal vocals enhance everything he does and it is just as well someone in the family can sing, as it is the first thing anyone asks a welshman!.

Richard Denham is the co-author of the popular 'Britannia' series with M.J Trow. These books follow a group of soldiers and their descendants through the madness of a chain of events which will eventually lead to the fall of roman Britain and the descent in to the dark ages.
About The Book: I really love this bookcover and that it is a picture of a sky and clouds. It is nice that the font is yellow and white because it makes the writing stand out more. I like the font.

Star Rating: Five Out Of Five Stars.

I wish l could rate this book more than five stars because it is worth more than the five stars l rated it.

First of all l would like to say a big thank you to Frank Cavallo for sending me this book and giving me the chance to read it.

I would tell people that you should step outside your comfort zone with books because it is good to add more authors and genres to your reading portfolio even if you do not read books like this.

I normally do not read books of this genre but l stepped outside my comfort zone l am so glad l did because l have read so many great books and come across some great authors.

I highly recommend this book.

This book has 404 pages and 64 chapters in it and this book also has 6 parts in it.

Book Dedication: as always, deepest thanks to my family and friends, for your unwaving support. Special thanks to PD coffee gang, for keeping me sane all these years and to Kitty, for giving me this idea a chance to grow and place to settle.

Lastly, I owe a debt to everyone in mongolia crew, especially Suvdaa for showing me your wonderful, wild, beautiful country and Kitty, who made me tell her this entire story in a Russian UAZ-452 on a very long drive through the gobi desert. This one is for all of you – my fellow wanderers of the steppe.

Synopsis: on a research mssion in one of the most remote regions of the world, former navy seal Eric slade and Dr Anna fayne are caught in a mysterious storm. Catapulted through a rift in space – time, they are marooned on a lost world. Struggling to survive and desperate to find a way home, they must confront the dangers of this savage land – a dark wizard and his army of undead – a warrior queen and her horde of fierce neanderthals that stands against him – and a legendary treasure with power to open the gateway between worlds, or to destroy them all: the eye of the storm.

Review: I found this book really easy to get in to and harder to put down once l started reading it. I was hooked on this book after reading the first page. When l was reading this book l would put some essential oils in my humidifier and put the lights on my humidifier on and chill on my bed and listening to magic or spotify, or something on television or netflix. I sometimes light a candle when l was reading this book. It is good to chill reading a good book when you are not well or in pain. It did not take me long to read this book. I like that the author dedicated to all his family and friends and all the other people who helped him and showed him around different countries. I was sad to read about all the people who lost their lives in this story. I was sad to read that threya's father Chernos passed away. I was sad to read that Dr Anna fayne was hurt, I was also sad to read that all the people on the plane with Dr Anna fayne, Mark vaughn and Eric R slade all died and I was sad that Mark vaughn passed away. It was nice that Kerr helped Anna and Eric and saved them from being sold as slaves. I hope Dr Anna fayne survives being shot with arrows. I can not put in to words how great this book is I would tell people to read it for themselves to know how great it really is. This book is a great read and this book will take you away when you are reading it. It is nice that Threya's father wanted her to take over for him because he knew he was dying. Some people were happy about it and some were very upset about having a woman as a boss. I was very sad to read that Kerr's father passed away but was happy to read that Threya's father took him in and looked after him until he passed away even though they was enemy. I was sad that Dr Anna fayne passed away due to her injuries and slade was the only survivor. I am wondering what's going to happen to slade when they get to the place where they are going and what Kerr going to do and if he saves slade. Dr Anna fayne had all her blood drained out of her body and some sort of liquid put back in her body so she become undead. Threya sounds like a strong girl still going on with things after the passing of her father. I wondered what happened to her mother. I was really sad to read both Kerr's mother and father passed away at the same time. It was nice that slade tried to return something to Threya after it fell off her wagon. Kerr sounds like a strong guy after losing both his parents at the same time. I am wondering if Anna and slade see each other again or get back to their own world. I was sad to finish reading this book l would happily read this book again. I wish this book would not finish. I also wish there was a follow on from this book. I would love to read more from this author. I was sad to read that Eric slade was going to be killed and Kerr was going to lose the friend he made. I understand why he was angry about it and I understand why Kerr could not tell him. I was sad that Threya's guard was not going to protect her and that he was going to kill her. I hope slade helps Kerr save her and then she asks slade to become her guard because he was strong and he did take on her guard and toad-men who attacked them and sadly killed Dr Anna fayne. I reviewed this book on goodreads, my blog and amazon UK and US and l also took a picture of this book and shared it on my Instagram that l made just for pictures of my books it is called donnareviewsbooks. I was sad to read that all the slaves was stabbed and cut from the neck down when they was still alive and it was horrible that their hearts were ripped out and their bodies was eaten by some sort of animal it also ate their bones. I wonder what happened to their hearts and l wonder if slade helps Kerr and saves Threya and stops her being killed. It sounds like they want to kill threya because they do not want a women to be their queen and her bodyguard is suppose to protect her not kill her. I really enjoyed reading this book I could not get enough of this book and story I wish there was a follow on to this storyline I would happily read this book again. I have this book in paperback but it is also available in kindle edition. I can not put in to words how great this book is l would tell people to read it for themselves to know how great it really is. I was happy that slade saved threya life and l was sad to read that they was going to war after loads of people died. I am glad threya has slade and Kerr by her side. I think threya has fallen in love with slade but I think Kerr likes threya more than just a boss. I hope threya, Kerr and slade win the battle. This book will leave you wanting more this book is really addicting. This book has lots of pages I would tell people to give this book a go. Do not judge the book by it cover ( I love the cover). My sister has also read and reviewed this book and she loved it too. I was sad to read that loads of people was dying. It was weird that tarquin come to by the black storm like everybody else that ended up there. Everybody who arrived with tarquin died and now tarquin is half human and half cyborg he can not remove the framework as it would kill him. I hope Kerr and slade stay friends because they sound like great friends they should not let threya come between them. I have honestly really enjoyed reading this book and how tarquin drains the blood from people's bodies to make them undead when the undead went to war with threya's people they just turned in to dust or bones but l found it sad that some of the people will never make it home to their loved ones or to be buried by their loved ones. I was really sad to read that Azreth turned against threya and pushed Kerr off a cliff I hope he survives and they can stop Azreth before he does too much damage. I wonder why tarquin thought threya, Azreth, slade and Kerr was died. It was nice of tarquin to help threya and slade after Dr Anna fayne took them to the place she had been staying since she was injured by the toad-men when she was helping Kerr get the ghost stone after threya's father told him to get it before he passed away. I hope Azreth can be stopped. This book is really a great read and I was sad that tarquin died and Dr Anna fayne took over the machine / robot to help with the fight against Azreth. I was glad Kerr won the war against Azreth but l was sad he had to be sent away. I was happy slade stayed with Threya and Dr Anna fayne because he could not face leaving them.

I normally read books of this genre but l also stepped outside my comfort zone with authors and genres I am so glad l did because l have read so many great books and come across some great authors.

I highly recommend this book.

This book has 328 pages and 45 chapters in it.

Synopsis: who'd have thought a bright, but fairly ordinary young man from middle class america who got just above average grades, dated the same girl throughout high school and went to church most Sundays, would grow up to eventually head a very secretive band of brave individuals – both men and women – who regularly put their lives on the line because they wanted to protect the rest of you. Yet that's what we did, often sacrificing our personal lives ( Four marriages for me, all in the book) and our health ( courtless broken bones, major surgeries, even death) to do it. Meanwhile you're just going to have to call me “Papa” like everyone else around the globe has through most of those wildly unpredictable and dangerous years.

Review: I found this book really easy to get in to and harder to put down once l started reading it. I can not put in to words how great this book really is l would tell people tp read it for themselves to know how great it really is. I was happy Billy, Jake and now who called Papa survived the army. I was sad to read that Jake's father and the first Papa died of cancer. The first Papa picked the new Papa before he passed away. He wanted the three friends to carry on his lifes work after he was gone. But the three friends would never forget the first Papa. When l was reading this book I would put some essential oils in my humidifier and put the lights on my humidifier on and chill on my bed listening to magic, spotify or something on television or netflix. I sometimes light a candle when l am reading this book. I was sad that Billy was shot but glad he survived. I was really sad to read that man, women and children was all murdered and their bodies was burnt. Billy, Jake, Nancy and Papa knew the people who was murdered because they had helped them. I was sad that Jake lost a bit of his finger in a gun battle with the people who killed all the people who lived in the town where they was. I wondered who is after them and why they sent in two women. I understand that they had to be killed because they was a threat and they could tell all the secrets that first Papa (Jake's father) worked so hard to build. It was sad that all the women had to have hysterectomies so they would not have periods so they would not slow them down or miss missions because of their periods. Nancy had to have one but she knew she did not want any more children she was happy with her son and she told her husband it was for medical reason why she had to have a hysterectomy. In away she was doing it to save her life and so she did not leave anything behind or slow down Bill, Jake and the two new guys and Papa. I like how bill, Jake and Papa stay friends through out the years. The three friends sounds like great guys and they sound like they loved the first Papa very much and was sad that he passed away. Papa would be so proud of them and that they had suck together and are still carrying out his lifes work even though he is not here to see his dream live on. I was really sad to read that women that they were trying to save was murdered not long before they entered the building. I was really sad to read that all the women was kidnapped when they was younger and used as sex slaves. I was happy to read that Papa was reunited with a guy who saved him when he was injured in the war but little did he know that the ship he was fetched home on belonged to Papa (Jake's father). I was sad to read that brownie was shot and was sad that Papa was shot in the arm. It was good that Nancy treated brownie's wounds and helped stop Papa bleeding from his arm. I was sad that bill got power burns on his face. Brownie lost one of his kidney and had some nerve damage in his leg. Papa lost use of his left arm but he had several operations to regain use of it. Bill had a bit of damage to his right eye but they had all survived. I was sad to read Jake's wife had died from ovarian cancer. I was sad that Jake's son Adam was in a terrible car accident. I was sad that a tumor was found in Julia's stomach I was really sad to read how much pain Julia was in. Julia had chemo I was really sad that Julia passed away. I was sad that Bill took his own life. I was sad that Bill's wife told Papa and Jake not to to come back to bill's final resting place. I was really sad to read that Nancy had passed away and she was cremated when she wanted to be buried. I was sad that Jake was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. Papa promised to look after Adam if anything happened to Jake. Papa and Jake wanted to find who killed Nancy. I was sad to read that Jake had passed away and was cremated I think he should have been buried. I was happy Papa got married again but it ended in divorce and Papa was now power of attorney of everything and Jake's beloved and only son Adam. I was sad to read that gangrene had set in both limbs and he knew Adam would not survive amputation. Papa knew it was time to let Adam go because the poor lad was only being kept alive by the machines and Adam was cremated. Out of all his friends Papa was the only one left alive but he will always remember his second family.

I reviewed this book on goodreads, my blog, amazon UK and US and l also took a picture of this book and shared it on Instagram that l made just for pictures of my books. It is called donnareviewsbooks. I was sad to read that Otto's wife and baby passed away I was happy to read that somebody give him a snow globe because it had an angel in that looked like his late wife and he could pass it down through generations. It was really good to read that Otto found a new wife and their had a new baby. I was sad to read that Kiley's sister and fiancee cheated on poor Kiley it must be horrible going to family dinners and parties and seeing the guy that cheated on you with her sister. I was happy to read that Kiley found the snow globe because it sounds like she needs a christmas miracle, l like that Kiley got a cat to keep her company. It was nice that Kiley met Craig because she deserves happiness after what she has been through. It was really nice that Kiley give Suzanne the snow globe but it was sad that Bryn tried to get it off the fireplace and ended up falling but glad Suzanne catched her but l was sad to read that Suzanne broke her leg and ended up on clutches. Suzanne should get Bryn the dog she wants and l hope Suzanne does not break the snow globe l hope she passes it on to Alison or back to Kiley. I would happily read this book again and again. It did not take me long to read this book. I wish l had the snow globe because it sounds beautiful and everybody needs a christmas miracle. I was happy that Suzanne got Bryn a dog it was a shame she did not get happy. It was nice if Alison to go visit the old folks home and give out cookies. I was really happy Kiley and Craig got engaged and Suzanne was going to have another baby. It was great to read Kiley, Suzanne and Alison went to meet the last of Otto's family and Alison had seen the lady's living room and the lady and herself having a cup og tea together in the snow globe. It was great that the three best friends left the snow globe on the boat with a note saying if you need a christmas miracle please take it. I think they should of put on the note when you had your christmas miracle please pass it on to somebody else.
